ACTION IS THE ANSWER

No matter where you are in your financial life, if you don't take ACTION, it won't matter because you won't see any progress.

Action is the Answer to getting the results you seek whatever those results may be. HOW?

Simple!

FIND A MENTOR OR COACH WHO CAN SHOW YOU THE WAY.

Having a mentor will cut your learning curve in half and help you avoid many of the mistakes that might stop you from achieving your goal.

I recently found a great individual who I like her style when it comes to numbers and you might agree.

Katrina M. Harrell. From what I have read of her posts, I like the way she explains numbers and you might too! I like the way she explains and breaks down the whole process.

Check her out!

DO YOU KNOW YOUR STRENGTHS?

I didn't for a long time but the funny thing about your strengths is that they've been with you with all along and you just took them for granted. What is it that you do easily and comes naturally that you usually get complimented on but you pay it no mind. Whatever that is for you -- and it's usually a few things -- is your Strength.

These Strengths are what is referred to by many as the "sweetspot" in your business or career. These are the skills that come naturally to you but if you don't know what they are how can you 1) build on them 2) Use them to your advantage in your business or career?

I found a great book that will help you. My mentor Kadena Tate of www.e3woman.com shared this piece of knowledge with me so I am paying it forward.

The book she recommended was Tom Rath's, Strength Finders 2.0. This is a great book because you don't really read it. You read only what refers to you. The cool thing about the book is there is a piece in the back that you take out of the book with a code on it and it allows you to take a quiz that I believe normally cost $200 for free with the purchase of the book. Awesome. You take the quiz and use the book to find "YOU", your strengths and then you can decide to use the site to learn how to make it all work for you in terms of how your strengths apply in your business or career.

This puts you one more step closer to being in Power and Empowering Yourself. Know Thyself!

Have you Checked Out Free Panda.com?

Actually, I tried to find the remoramethod.com after the sign up time had passed because I did sign up for the notification, but when I received it in my email, I ignored it and then I couldn't get in. I couldn't sign up or do anything.

What I am saying is learn something new and I truly believe the remoramethod.com offers that option.

So if you get the opportunity to sign up for it, don't miss the opportunity to do so next time. I am when it comes along.

Did you get a chance to check out the Remora Method at passive panda.com?

We have arrived at a time in our individual lives that we have to stop trading time for dollars. We have to stop depending on corporations to provide jobs because it is more financially feasible for them to outsource and save millions on their bottom line.

As Promised, the Revelation!

I asked everyone to check back in a few days and I would reveal the method that I was speaking about in order to create your best situation so you are no longer trading your time for Dollars because as I pointed out in the previous post, David Neagle of Life Is Now, said that we.Will run out of time and have a problem.

Well even before I stumbled upon David's brilliance, I knew just working a nine to five just wasn't going to cut it so I have always been looking for an answer; a better way. I think I found it and I don't believe it was by accident. I believe everything happens for a reason.

Loral Langemeier of liveoutloud.com is the first person I heard say to utilize the skill set you already have to first learn HOW to be an entrepreneur because it is too hard and will take too long to learn a new skill and build a business from scratch at the same time and you have never done this before so start with something you already know how to do. Makes sense right? Well of course you know most of us want to start a new business with a new skill and Loral says, "No" you don't get to do that yet. First you learn how to build a successful business and later on you can do what you want.

That was cool but I still found a challenge with that- WHAT exactly do you do? What idea based on that skill set that you already have can you use to start that business?
You brainstorm, try a few ideas and see what happens. Nothing wrong with that. It's called trial and error and that will always work.

But what if there was an even better way to do this? What if there were a way to get there even faster? I don't think I found this by accident. I believe the Universe sent me in this direction so I could share it with you. I didn't create this method but it will blow you away....

This method is THE REMORA METHOD.

Happy New Year New You

Hello all. Glad to see you made it to 2013 and we all have to be grateful for that.

Now, let's get our money right for 2013. How? Well, that depends on how you think.

If you think you be paying down your debt and seeing all of your money going towards only that, then in my opinion you're going to feel defeated .

You can look at it from the angle of making more money and get a second job to reach that goal or tap your 401(k) (not recommended) or use your house like an atm machine (also not recommended). Any of these ideas will work because they have worked in the past. However, we have moved into a new age - the age of Aquarius - according to astrology. Whether you believe that or not, you can agree with the fact that times have changed; everything is different and you have to look at things in a different way in order to truly solve the problems that we have. This definitely applies to how we deal with our money problems.

In my humble opinion, I do believe that David Neagle of www.themiracleof money.com is correct  when he said that, "if we continue to trade our time for dollars, we are going to have a problem because we are going to run out of time."

Solution? Have a side hustle that utilizes a hobby or skill that you already have  but now make it pay you, an idea that others have always told you to start that business with or if you have no idea what that could possibly look like then you need a method.

I will share that method in a new post. Please check back in a few days.

Robert Kiyosaki of Rich dad.com Explains Ponzi Schemes

Are You In Debt?

I am. I was going through the first page of David Neagle's Money Map book
and I looked at everything I was paying and it was ALL Debt. I said, "Damn"--
that is not good. I appreciate David' s book because it helped me really see where I am at financially compared to where I want to be. I am pissed at myself for allowing  myself to get into this situation.

Since I am taking 100 percent responsibility for my life, I won't complain. I will pay off this debt and take steps to increase the cash flow in my life by learning how to  build a successful business and not get in bad debt ever again. No more credit card and doodad debt for me.

I realized that as long as I was paying off Debt, I was NOT building Wealth. I' d much rather be doing that; wouldn't you?

Whether you want to own a business or not, you should take control of your finances and check out David Neagle' s Money Map or David Bach or Suze Orman, Michelle Singletary or whoever has debt payment -- how to -- info you can put into action.
 You won't be sorry.

Do you know how much it Costs for the Life you and your Family are Living?

Well, do ya? When was the last time you sat down and took a piece of paper
and added up your bills on an ANNUAL basis?  Well thanks to David Neagle of www.lifeisnow.com, and his Money Map, I did that today and WOW. It was so telling. It helps you to see how you're living and what you are spending.

This tool is used by entrepreneurs but I would encourage anyone who spends money, has a family, etc. to do this exercise. It showed me what I value and forced me to look at what I am spending my money on and ask do I really need that?

If you're curious or serious, check out the Money Map. You will be surprised but empowered too!

Pay Yourself First

Do you pay yourself first or do you pay your bills first and then try to save from what is leftover?

Unfortunately, most of us do and this is NOT the way to build wealth or prepare for that rainy day.

Frankly, if you don't pay yourself first then why are you going to work everyday?

Please don't say to pay your bills. Paying your bills cannot be the only reason you
go to work.

It doesn't take a lot of money to do this but do this you must in order to have control over your finances and to build wealth.

Start small if you have to. Most people say to pay yourself ten percent, David Bach says women should pay themselves 12%. I have started paying myself 20% of every piece of money that I get. But I must confess it has not always been like this. I was petrified to pay myself anything at all. I used to feel that pain in the pit of my stomach when I first started to pay myself. I decided to keep doing it because I knew it would be better for me so I continued to do it and now it is so empowering to know that I have money when I need it. You have to create the habit of paying yourself first.

If it feels funny at first, that's ok push through that feeling and keep doing it. It won't be long before you will look forward to paying yourself.

Remember, you and your family are a living corporation known as a family and you have to pay your corporation family.

Do it! You won't be sorry.

Now that President Barack Obama is President again, What's Next for You and Me?

Well, does it really matter? Don't get me wrong, if Mitt Romney would have won I would be feeling quite another way altogether.

I am pleased as punch that it is President Obama not President Romney but once again I ask what now? What's next? And does it really matter?

I truly believe that is a question we all decide collectively as well as individually. Why do I say that? Because collectively the larger majority wanted President Obama to win and we came together and made that happen and that's a beautiful thing. I did my part and those who didn't do not bother to complain now.

We Are Moving Forward!

Now, while the President is working on creating 12 million jobs and getting the middle class back where it needs to be, etc. etc. etc., what will you and I be doing on a more individual basis? You can't be sitting around waiting for that job to knock on the door. What are you going to be doing? Sitting around watching tv, feeling sorry for yourself. Are you gonna go back to school and learn how to fix that computer, air conditioning, etc?  Let me share with you this excerpt from Napoleon Hill's, Law of Success:

"....It is most appalling to know that 95% of the people
of the world are DRIFTING AIMLESSLY THROUGH LIFE
without the slightest conception of the work for which they
are best fitted, and with no conception whatsoever of
even the need of such a thing as a definitive objective
toward which to strive."

So while President Obama is moving forward to get America back to work at 12 million jobs strong, let us all get ready by not drifting aimlessly but by taking the time to find out which jobs we are best suited for so when the
time comes we are all moving forward in the right direction.

LET'S GO AMERICA. WE HAVE GOT WORK TO DO.

FORWARD!

The female side of Money

Women of all races are usually looked upon  to take care of everyone including herself and we usually leave the one person neglected that needs her the most - Herself.

Yes, repeatedly women give themselves the short end of the stick since we are by nature nurturers, we tend to take care of everyone except ourselves. The problem with that picture is there will be no one left to take care of us when it's our turn.

I read an article in the March 2012 issue of Black Enterprise Magazine about wealth statistics concerning women and it was frightening what I read about African-American women:

If you are a single African-American woman, you have a median wealth of
$100 compared to $7900 for single black men and $41,500 for single white
women.

If you have a car, then your wealth jumps to $5000 but remember a car is a
depreciating asset.

Social Security is the only source of retirement income for more than 25%
of black women -- Ouch!

This study was conducted by Lifting as We Climb released by the Insight
Center for Community Economic Development.

It's not too late to learn.

Are You an Asset or a Liability?

Well, hopefully you always know that you are an asset but most corporations think of us as liabilities because we cost the corporations too much to take care of us when we retire. They have to pay a pension and cover our medical care until we pass away. Well aren't we worth it? Didn't we work faithfully and loyally for 40 years or so and so we deserve it right?

Well guess what? Corporations look at their bottom line and have decided that you are not worth their having to take care of you anymore. How have they shown their love?

Can you say OUTSOURCE?

That's right. Corporations have decided that we are Liabilities. So what are we going to do about it? Get mad. Protest.

I say BECOME FINANCIALLY LITERATE and take care of you, your family, community and house of worship without having to worry about big corporations.

If you want to check out a success system for self improvement check out my good friend Mr. Tycoon's book, Success is not a Secret, It's a System. Or if  you don't have a desire for your own business but you want to get a side hustle going, check out Hustle While You Work.

Are You Back to Work?

If you are that is great. It means the economy may slowly be returning to some semblance of normal whatever normal means. However, we still are a far cry from where we were in 1999 or 2000. During that time we were truly prospering in all areas of our life. We were buying bigger homes and cars and more of everything we probably needed. There are those that say we don't need
those bigger homes or cars and that is where the problem itself started. There may be some truth to that and I will come back to that. However I want to speak about something else that I believe just as important and may in fact be more important. Self development may have a lot to do with why many of us are stuck in a rut and just going through the motions of living life. I just created an acronym for life the other day that I would like to share with you - Love and Laughter (with a) Feeling (of)Intense Energy Enthisiasm and Excitement - LIFE. How do we accomplish this? By improving our individual selves so that we don't have to get bigger homes and cars in order to compensate for something lacking within. Not that we can't or shouldn'thave bigger homes or cars; you might have a big family or if you have the financial literacy to acquire such things because you knew how to do it correctly not because it was a emotional response. Now Go Live Your Best Life but first gain your financial literacy.

You Can Keep Your Day Job and Hustle While You Work - Create Your M.O.R.E.

For a long time after I purchased Robert Kiyosaki's course, You Can Choose to be Rich, I felt that I had to just get out there and just "make it happen" because I didn't want to work a j-o-b anymore, I didn't want to work for someone else. I wanted to be my own boss and I couldn't wait. There was only one problem -- I had no damn idea what I was doing, what I was getting into and what in the hell it would actually mean to be in business for myself. It is scary as hell. I truly realize why so many of us won't do it. Not that we can't do it because I truly believe we can do anything we truly want to do if we have a strong enough desire to do it and that's why most of us choose not to pursue a business. It is hard as hell. Because you have to GROW YOURSELF to a magnitude the likes of which you have never even thought of before and that is scary as hell so no matter how bad you may want it, you won't go for it because it takes a lot of courage, persistence, desire, burning desire, and everything else you can possibly think of to keep you on the path that will ultimately lead you to Entrepreneurship, Business Owner, Proprietor, CEO, etc. It's easier to go to work for someone else so whoever you see in that position make no mistake about it they have truly paid their dues.

And the one thing I have come to realize that they probably kept their day job too and Hustled while they work because you still have to pay the bills. Now I know most people would say yeah well duh. However, I was thinking I could just blaze out there and make it happen. And I probably could have if I had GROWN MYSELF to the level and magnitude that I would have needed at that time. It takes as long as it takes. Everyone is different and we all start from a different place because we are all different with different levels of fear, self-confidence and self-validation to overcome. Whew!

I said all of that to say that I realize now that I should have always kept my dayjob but I must admit I had some illusion about what it would take to get there. I thought in my own little head that as long as that was what I wanted, it would just happen. Well, now that my forest is clear and I can see the trees, I realize that was a big mistake on my part and I admit that I was wrong.

Now, I know I want to create what I have coined my M.O.R.E. - Money Outside of Regular Employment which is my business. However, I realize that I still have to keep my dayjob and let go of the illusion that I can do it without it. If you find yourself feeling that way you have two choices; Either you can GROW YOURSELF exponentially quickly like overnight and do it or you can realize that you can keep your dayjob and just Hustle While You Work. This brings me to the book of the same name of a great book that I believe will benefit anyone who wants to take this path. I believe in this new economy you may almost not have a choice but to create another revenue stream because you can no longer depend on just your employer to provide for you and your family. Also, social security will probably not be around to provide the income that some of our parents, grandparents and maybe even great grandparents are receiving today. The new economy has created a gap that we will have to fill ourselves. The author, Hotep has written a great book on the subject...Keep your day Job and Hustle While You Work - Using Your 9-5 to Jumpstart to 5-9. Hustle While You Work. Check it out.

Employers Created more Jobs in September than Expected!

This is great news! for all of us. This could be a small sign that America is coming back and creating more jobs to get Americans where we need to be - Back To Work! I said this is in a labor day post and it looks like that is the direction we are moving in. If this keeps up, we'll be back to prosperity in no time.
http://www.businessweek.com/ap/financialnews/D9Q7FB583.htm
I'm also hoping that all of us will chip in. How? If you've got an idea for a business that will create jobs for families and friends - bring that idea to life.Don't know how. Check the web (http://www.google.com/)  and check out Loral Langemeier's http://www.liveoutloud.com/, where she has a whole forum dedicated to bringing your business to life - and living out loud. One thing I think I can safely say is that whatever you want to do, it's probably already been done by someone so you can model them and tweak it along the way.

So get going on your dream and help create some jobs for yourself and others. How cool is that?

Want to Own a Home in this New Economy?

I was watching Suze Orman's Money Class on Public Television the other day and she gave a few tips that I thought were good advice for anyone going forward in our new economy that still wants to own a home. I still believe owning a home is the American dream but the way we've done it in the past has created a nightmare and that has to change. We can't change what we don't acknowledge (Dr. Phil) and we have to acknowledge that fact in order to make that change.

I said in an earlier post on another blog http://atlanticcountyhomes.wordpress.com/2011/08/22/atlantic-county-nj-borrowers-can-get-the-lowest-prices-but-america-needs-to-get-back-to-work-and-homeowners-should-consider-paying-off-their-mortgage-sooner/

that Americans need to own their home sooner and one of the ways to do that is to make a bigger downpayment. Making a bigger downpayment may not be the only way; I'm sure there are other financially savvy Americans who have come up with other inventive ways to make that happen but this is also what Suze Orman recommends: a twenty percent downpayment and 8 months of expenses put aside before you even start the process of searching for a home. Suze suggests that "every move you make effects something else". Suze also suggests to "Live below your means but within your needs". That is not bad advice for someone who may want to accept a lower financial threshold.

Loral Langemeier, http://www.liveoutloud.com/ who worked with Robert Kiyosaki of http://www.richdad.com/ fame suggests making more money instead of living below ones means expand the amount of cash flow that you have coming into your life. I don't know about y'all but I like making more money better than just living below my means. You decide.

Get Ready to Get Off of Welfare - Cash Payments will be Limited and Then GONE!

I knew this was coming and it's here sooner than later. Michigan has joined the ranks of states that have placed 2-5 year limits on receiving cash assistance from public assistance. However, Michigan is setting the limit at 4 years (48 months). http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44416871/ns/politics/?gt1=43001
On October 1, 2011 over 100,000 residents will no longer receive cash payments from their public assistance office. There will, of course, be exceptions such as the elderly who don't qualify for Social Security benefits, children with disabilities, etc. but everyone else will be on their own. This is unfortunate but inevitable. Why? The government is not going to keep giving cash assistance for long periods of time. Unfortunately, some families have received generational cash assistance and now the government is stopping the buck with them. No More Cash payments -- you must find a job or another way to get cash flow coming into your life.

This is why financial literacy is so important. People CAN take care of themselves they just have to be willing to learn HOW.

If you find yourself in this situation, where you are currently receiving cash assistance, you this lesson from Michigan as a warning and learn financial literacy, find your strengths, talents and abilities to use to create a job for yourself so you won't become desperate. Desperate people do crazy things and you don't want to live like that. Make a Change - Now. You can do it. I Believe in You. Believe In Yourself .

Are You Living Paycheck to Paycheck?

Well, according to the article below, 42 percent of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck which falls in line with 2007 data. So does this mean there is nothing to worry about since we're "supposedly" back to 2007 data. Well I beg to differ. I will have to go along with Loral Langemeier's concept of "Make More Money"

Loral says have your latte if that's what you want. Others have cited the "Latte Factor" for us Americans being in financial dire straits. Once again I don't think it's that simple. I believe it is a whole mindset around money that makes it difficult for most of us who haven't dealt with our money issues to come to grips with what those like Loral may be speaking about. Loral or Robert Kiyosaki don't advocate cutting up your credit cards and living below your means. No. What they do advocate is learning how to increase the amount of income, cash flow, revenue -- you have coming into your life. Wouldn't that solve the problem of not having to live paycheck to paycheck? Wouldn't that solve the problem of not worrying about getting laid off? Wouldn't that solve the problem of having to worry about whether or not you can pay your bills, have extra to do what you want? Isn't that a better solution? Make More Money? What do you think?

A good book to consider to help along this journey would be Phil Laut's Money is my Friend, Stuart Wilde's The Trick to Money is Having Some, and T. Harv Eker's Secrets of the Millionaire Mind.
Or if you want to deal with your money issues right now, I suggest David Neagle's http://www.themiracleofmoney.com/# course.

Another statistic I read in this article that women are still the primary financial stewards of the money for their family brings me to another book you might want to consider, Rich Woman by Kim Kiyosaki. This is a great book breaking down the investing game and how women can win.
